Qualcomm Technologies’ latest 5G product demonstration underscores the company’s commitment to One Technology Roadmap (One Technology Roadmap) to accelerate the commercialization of new 5G capabilities through the portfolio chipset industry leader for devices and networks.
Qualcomm will demonstrate how the company continues to expand capabilities with the new Snapdragon X70 through advancements in 5G+AI, expanded mmWave configuration, 5G spectrum aggregation, and 5G global multi-SIM.
MWC Barcelona will be the first place for Snapdragon X70 to introduce the A1 5G processor integrated in the 5G Modem-RF system. The demonstration will provide a glimpse into how the Qualcomm 5G AI Suite on the Snapdragon X70 harnesses the power of integrated AI to enable the breakthrough 5G performance needed to drive intelligent edge connected.
Qualcomm Technologies enables 5G mmWave in commercial 5G systems and continues to drive its evolution. There are two demonstrations that will illustrate how the 5G mmWave device, powered by Snapdragon, unlocks extreme 5G capacities and finishes.
5G carrier aggregation in downlink and uplinkas well as 5G switched uplink, allows for increased average speeds, and stronger connections in challenging conditions, such as cell edge which is far from cellular BTS. Four demonstrations will be featured to showcase the company’s latest series of achievements to offer the most complete sub-6 GHz 5G carrier aggregation support in the Snapdragon Modem-RF System.
Meanwhile, global multi-SIM 5G allows users to maintain separate work and personal accounts, and access cost-effective local networks during international travel while retaining access to their regular home subscriptions.
This year, Qualcomm demonstrated how the global 5G multi-SIM solution in the Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System maximizes connectivity to various network combinations, enabling phones to be compatible with multiple network configurations simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G RAN Platform is designed to support a new generation of flexible, virtualized and interoperable mobile networks worldwide. The demonstration will show how the adoption of the virtual model and interoperable this will make the wireless infrastructure a new platform for innovation.
