New additions to investigate the coronavirus. Moderna, Novavax and Valneva have joined the CoviDrive consortiumbecoming partners in this project that coordinates the vaccine research area of the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community (Fisabio).
The objective of this consortium is study the effectiveness of vaccines against Covid-19 in Europeincluding public institutions, small and medium enterprises and pharmaceutical companies.
With this recent incorporation, the project has the collaboration of eight of the nine pharmaceutical companies with a coronavirus vaccine, which is authorized or is a candidate in the European Union (EU).
“It is crucial to promote international studies that generate precise, constant and real-time information on the effectiveness of the different vaccines against Covid-19”, explained Antonio Carmona, scientific coordinator of the COVIDrive project.
