Socialite Lizzie Cundy has insisted that Meghan Markle “wanted a famous boyfriend” before marrying Prince Harry.
In a new Channel 5 documentary, Harry & Meghan vs. the Monarchy, the announcer shed some light on her views on the royal wedding.
“Meghan wanted to have a famous boyfriend and she definitely got it with Prince Harry.
“Forget red carpets in Hollywood, this was something else,” Lizzie commented.
She explained: “It’s so much easier if you have a boyfriend who understands the press and understands fame, and she got that with Prince Harry.
“They just got along like a house on fire,” she added of her blind date.

The documentary also highlighted Meghan’s existing relationships with Hollywood icons like Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and James Corden.
Lizzie has never hidden her views on her ex-friend Meghan, and was even interested in setting up the soon-to-be Duchess with an English boyfriend in the early days.
Writing for Grazia, he said: “It’s a different world going from celebrity to royalty, and a completely different life.
“She wanted fame and was open about it. She has that sparkle, that magic. But I don’t think she knew how difficult she was going to be.”

Speaking of Meghan’s first arrival in the UK, Lizzie added: “Meghan said she loved London and would love an English boyfriend so I checked my phone to see who she knew would be a good fit.”
However, ever since Meghan “ghosted” her, the former This Morning star has not hesitated to hit out at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Speaking to GB News in January, she criticized the couple: “I don’t think anyone is really interested in what they have to say.
“They said they want privacy, well then stop doing the books, the interviews. For me, for my part, I feel like they’re in it for the money and I’m not interested anymore and I mean that from my heart.

“I feel like a lot of people agree with me and it’s not because she cheated on me.”
It comes as the royal couple prepare to accept the President’s Award for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a leading US civil rights group, at a ceremony on Saturday (26 June). February).
The couple have been recognized for their efforts with Archewell and their outreach initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking of the “honor” of being recognized by the award, the couple released a statement saying: “It is truly an honor to be recognized by President Derrick Johnson and the NAACP, whose efforts to advance racial justice and civil rights are so vital. today as they were almost 115 years ago.
