A VW driver gave a wild chase with the police shortly after 3 a.m. early Sunday morning.
The man was supposed to be checked, but gave full throttle. During his escape he damaged several vehicles, including at least two police cars.
The Berlin police officers managed to stop the breakneck drive and arrest the driver in the street Am nassen Winkel on the A114.
Blood should then be taken from the man, as it could not be ruled out that he was driving under the influence of intoxicants. The VW bus was secured. The investigations are ongoing.
