Tatiana from Kharkiv for RMF FM: We will fight because we have nothing left

“Heavy fighting took place all night, the Russians attacked us from the air and on the ground. When they got to Kharkiv, our people tried to defend themselves with their own hands, ”says Tatiana, who lives in Kharkiv, in an interview with RMF FM.

Russia has been invading Ukraine for four days. “Nothing is known that the Russians would take control of any of the major Ukrainian cities,” the Ukrainian defense ministry said.

However, there were reports of a Russian offensive in Kharkiv. During the night, Russian troops entered Kharkiv – but during the day the attack was repulsed. The journalist of RMF FM, Grzegorz Jasiński, talked about the situation in the city with Tatiana, who lives in that city.

We don’t feel safe, but we know what war is. When Russia attacks us, we will fight them together. Old people, young people, everyone will come out to meet them. We will tear them to pieces because they came to our land. We will fight because we have nothing left – says the Ukrainian.

Tatiana explained that all children sit in the cellars, there are difficulties even with preparing food, because Russian soldiers are shooting during the day and at night.

There are a lot of damaged buildings in Kiev and Kharkiv. We are afraid to approach the windows because we know that they will shoot – emphasizes the woman.

Tatiana admitted that members of her family are also afraid of how the situation will develop. But we hold on, because we are Ukrainians, there is an unbreakable spirit in us – she said.
