5,874 people infected with Covid-19 in Lithuania; 11 dead; In Estonia – 4002 patients, nine dead

Another 5,874 people were confirmed infected with the coronavir virus in Lithuania last day, and 11 deaths caused by Covid-19 were registered, the Department of Statistics reported on Saturday. In Estonia, coronavirus infections have been detected in another 4,002 people and nine deaths have been reported from Covid-19, according to the Department of Health.

In Lithuania, 13,279 analyzes were performed last day and the proportion of positive tests was 44.2%.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Lithuania, 8,135,935 analyzes have been performed and 896,910 infections have been detected.

A total of 8387 people died in Lithuania with Covid-19.

There are currently 1,674 Covid-19 patients in hospitals, 93 of whom are receiving intensive care.

A total of 2,213 people died in Estonia with Covid-19.

Hospitals currently treat 656 patients with Covid-19, 312 of whom are severely ill.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, has dropped to 5,415.75.

A total of 857,193 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 838,415 people who have completed the primary vaccination course. 429,160 people received booster vaccinations.
