According to DIHK President Peter Adrian, the German economy is behind tough punitive measures against Russia because of the large-scale attack on Ukraine.

According to DIHK President Peter Adrian, the German economy is behind tough punitive measures against Russia because of the large-scale attack on Ukraine. “Entrepreneurs, especially those with connections to the region, are appalled by this senseless war and attack on democracy with many innocent victims,” explained Adrian on Saturday.
“Therefore, there is also a lot of understanding in the German economy that politicians have to react with tough and effective sanctions against the polluters,” added the President of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). “I received dismayed feedback from the entire German economy,” explained Adrian.
“A war is not a basis for economically viable relationships,” emphasized the DIHK President. “At the same time, we all have to work to ensure that we can live and do business together peacefully in Europe.”
