10 rescue interventions on road accidents, one dead and one b

The firefighters carried out 31 interventions last night (Friday 25 to Saturday 26 February) They were called upon 10 times for road accidents.

Throughout Martinique, firefighters recorded 31 interventions last night (Friday 25 to Saturday 26 February) for road accidents, a vehicle fire and the transport of patients to the hospital center. In 24 hours they were requested 98 times.

A fatal accident occurred this Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:34 a.m. at the Lézarde bridge in Lamentin, between a motorcycle and a pedestrian. He was in cardiopulmonary arrest when emergency services arrived. The 39-year-old man died. The motorcycle rider, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to Martinique University Hospital for thigh pain.

A man was wounded by bullets near the Lamentin sports hall. The victim had two impacts, one in the chest and one in the back. Aware when help arrived, he was transported to the Pierre-Zobda-Quitman hospital.

An investigation is underway, led by police officers from the Lamentin police station. No information for the moment on the origin of these shots.
