Selling a car for spare parts sometimes brings in more money than selling one as a whole. But the spare parts must be in usable condition, not in video or picture condition. However, this is exactly what the performer under the pseudonym “shl0ms” wants to attract with his project called $ CAR.
–
Your eyesight doesn’t fool you, the exploding thing in the video is really a Lamborghini Huracán. According to the information available, it is not a replica or a model, but a real car from 2015. And shl0ms blew it up so that 999 of its parts, which involuntarily fly through the air, were carefully filmed – and sold on the Internet as NFT (“non-fungible”). token ”, Czech“ unmistakable token ”).
–
The American website Motor1 learned by e-mail from the artist that a team of engineers and explosives experts ensured that the 999 pieces of the car would be “visually pleasing”. But we have to ask whether the pleasure – whether visual or any other – will be greater than from the car itself.
–
The Lamborghini Huracán from 2015 is sold in Europe at prices ranging from 160 to 230 thousand euros, ie 3.9-5.6 million crowns. Of course, it is possible that the exploded piece was damaged in some way, it could have been a total pity, and therefore did not have such a price.
–
Of course, the cost of creating these 999 NFTs also includes the work of everyone involved. We still have to be surprised whether the artist earns more than he invested in the project, but NFTs are currently a relatively popular thing among investors.
