After the communication arrived from Paypal on the change of conditions of use that will take place in May, and on the new rate that will be activated for some users, a clarification has arrived from the company to explain how the new provisions will come into force.
The latest communication from PayPal to its customers had caused considerable concern. The company had in fact informed users that starting from May 2022, the conditions of use of the platform would have changed automatically for the management of online payments, introducing some innovations that involved new costs. Among these, what he had discussed concerned a new tax that is triggered when the account has not been used for over twelve months. A situation that has created havoc on the net, with so many customers complaining about this new rate, of which very little was understood about the conditions under which it becomes operational. But now there are some news because the information site DDay asked the company for an official clarification, which arrived on time.
PayPal, new rate for inactive customer accounts? The clarification came directly from the company
Paypal has confirmed the existence of this new additional cost for customers, which applies to private consumers and merchants who have had their account inactive for more than twelve months. However, there are specifics for this condition to apply to users. For example, if there is no available money in the account, the tariff will not activate. In fact, the latter is triggered automatically only if the customer has a balance of more than ten euros on deposit.

If, for example, it is lower than this figure, PayPal will trigger the rate but the sum withdrawn cannot lead to the negative balance of the accountand this means that a slightly lower sum will still be withdrawn in this specific case.
