TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Presence of the Chairman Jokowi Mania (JoMan), Immanuel Ebenezer as a lightening witness in the trial of the criminal act of terrorism that ensnared Munarman, he received criticism, especially from civil society.
The Community of Love Pluralism (MCP) regrets the presence of Ebenezer at the East Jakarta Court.
“Why is one of the supporters of President Jokowi himself, Mr Immanuel Ebenezer, and he helped the Munarman trial process in this case he became a mitigating witness? His capacity to be there, I don’t think, is legally justified,” said MCP Secretary General Oscar Pendong in a message received by Tribunnews, Friday (25/2/2022)
Oscar assessed the presence of Ebenezer with his willingness to defend Munarman, but instead hurt the hearts of the supporters who fought for nationalism itself.
“It is very unfortunate that Mr. Ebenezer as the General Chair of Jokowi Mania, why did Mr. Ebenezer do that?” he said.
Meanwhile, one of the founders of MCP, Novalando considered that Ebenezer did not need to come to the East Jakarta District Court.
“Even if he comes, don’t be too effective as a person whose style is forgiving or loving,” he said.
He said what Ebenezer did was quite disappointing to his fellow supporters of President Jokowi.
“You can use another method. In my opinion, if he (Munarman) is a friend, then use a different method, there is no need to fulfill the request to attend,” concluded Novalando.
