Russia will win as a result of the military operation in Ukraine, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev confidently declared.
“Tonight we discussed many aspects of this crisis. But we must bear in mind that, most likely, it is obvious that the Russian Federation will win this war, ”he said, speaking at a meeting of the leaders of the Bucharest Nine countries who gathered in Warsaw at an extraordinary summit on the situation in Ukraine.
The Bulgarian leader believes that the European security architecture has collapsed.
“Our duty is to deeply analyze what are the reasons for the collapse of this system, what short- and long-term measures we must take in order to rebuild our European security system. This is our responsibility,” Radev said.
Members of the “Bucharest Nine” are NATO members Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, the Czech Republic and Estonia. The head of the European Commission also arrived at the summit in Warsaw Ursula von der Leyen.
