Rare images of the Arizona desert under the snow

A descent ofair fleece on the american desert faced a rainy disturbance on Wednesday: snow fell in Arizona, in the tourist towns of Sedona, Flagstaff, and even more surprisingly Scottsdale, near Phoenix.

Located at 1,326 meters above sea level, the city of Sedona experiences snowfall on average once a year.

The phenomenon is on the other hand much more exceptional on Scottsdale, located at 383 meters of altitude. The cactus typical of the area were covered with a thin white layer which did not last more than 30 minutes. With an average temperature of 22°C in February afternoon, it snows on average once every three years. This Wednesday and Thursday morning, the temperature dropped to 3°C.
