Modern electric cars are technically very different cars – and the drive is just beginning. The integrated software connects the entire car, so in addition to the on-board infotainment, the charging speed can be influenced by a simple update.
–
Like the entire Volkswagen Group, with cars on the MEB electric platform, Škoda will share an enyaqu ME3 version for all newly manufactured cars, including the Coupé body version. For cars manufactured earlier, it will be available for free and wireless download in the second half of the year.
–
It affects the following features:
–
Extend battery life
The driver can now activate the battery protection system using the button on the central display. This means that the next time you charge the battery, it will charge to a maximum of 80 percent. The system also reduces DC charging speed and maximum charging power to prevent power spikes.
–
New riding mode for ATVs
All-wheel drive versions offer the new Traction driving mode. It is designed for driving on unpaved roads or on slippery surfaces and offers permanent all-wheel drive at speeds up to 20 km / h. Among other things, it adjusts the wheel slip control (ASR) system so that the ASR intervenes less when starting off.

Facilitate charging planning
Charging control is also easier. In the navigation system, for example, an alternative charging station can be easily integrated into the current route using the “Add” button. For all planned charging stops, the remaining battery capacity and the planned charging time are detailed.
–
Head-up display display enhancements
The new software also includes improved data display on the virtual cockpit and head-up display. The display of objects around the car is more intuitive and the battery charge level is now shown as a percentage in addition to the corresponding battery charge symbol.
–
The head-up display now also shows the current battery charge level and, among other things, a three-dimensional display of the distance to the destination. Driving data can be displayed separately on the right side of the virtual cockpit.
–
Better battery temperature control
Battery temperature control starts at lower temperatures than before and is constantly being adjusted. This puts the traction battery in the ideal temperature range faster and stays longer. This ensures a longer service life, optimized performance and more efficient recuperation, and thus a higher maximum real range, even if it does not change according to the WLTP methodology.

Higher charging power
When charging with direct current, cars with a larger 82 kWh battery now have a charging power of up to 135 kW compared to the previous 125 kW. This means that at a 50 kW public charging station, the charging process from 10 to 80% capacity takes 70 minutes. It takes 35 minutes for such charging at the fast charging station.
–
Other convenient features
The new software also offers improved parking support thanks to the increased brightness and contrast of the rear parking camera display. The control button on the right arm of the multifunction steering wheel now responds to repeated presses. Used to switch between two levels of assistance systems.
