Unilever Indonesia (UNVR) Stocks Have Dropped Sharply, Analyst: Just Wait For Momentum

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Shares of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) is in the spotlight. This is because the shares of this consumer goods issuer continue to decline. Even since the beginning of 2022, UNVR shares have been cut by 7.06% and in the last year it has fallen 47.67%. year on year (yoy).

In fact, Unilever is a company that has attractive prospects and its performance should even be boosted by the current economic recovery. However, the issuer’s stock consumer goods it actually reversed direction to the red zone and continued to decline.

Head of Equity Research and Strategy Mandiri Sekuritas, Adrian Joezer, said that Unilever is a consumer sector that will have a positive impact on the economic recovery. Even from a price point of view, it is already attractive.

“However, investors are still waiting turn around business,” he said, Wednesday (23/2).

According to Joezer, the cause of the decline in Unilever’s performance and UNVR’s shares was due to the declining purchasing power of the people due to the pandemic. He is optimistic that along with the economic recovery, people’s purchasing power will also be boosted.

In terms of business lines, Unilever still has a strong position and is able to compete with its competitors. According to him, investors are still waiting for a signal to reverse direction from the fundamental performance of UNVR which has launched a number of reform strategies in 2022.
