test winner As is so often the case, the devil is in the details, especially when the headphones are brand new. The product testers warmly recommend buyers one piece of advice to avoid frustration: study the instructions at least to some extent.
Especially the point of pairing. Because how the blood tooth coupling with smartphone & Co works differs greatly from model to model. For example, some in-ears have to be in the charging case for the pairing to work.
The test winner (grade 1.9) and the model with the best sound were the JBL Reflect Flow Pro (175 euros). Just behind (grade 2.0) is the Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless (145 euros). Apple’s Airpods Pro (3rd generation/200 euros), LG Tone DFP8 (128 euros) and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 (130 euros) share third place (grade 2.1).
According to the product testers, the latter are best suited for sports and have effective active noise reduction. The 80-euro Sony WF-C500 (grade 2.2) has the strongest battery. The cheapest good model is the Xiaomi Redmi Buds Pro 3 (grade 2.5) for 66 euros.
