Religious Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas explained the reason for this Toa rules in the mosque and prayer room. Even Yaqut claims a lot of support for the rule.
“I think there is also a lot of support for this. Because our subconscious must admit it,” said the Minister of Religion after meeting religious leaders at the Regional Hall Serendit Building, Riau Province, Wednesday (23/2/2022).
Yaqut admitted that if the voices were not regulated, they would cause disturbance. He also gave some examples that happened in society.
“What if the sound is not regulated, it will disturb us. If there are lots of trucks around us, we will stay in one place. Then for example, if there is a truck in front, left, right, behind us starting the engine, we will both be disturbed,” he said.
Yaqut said the rules were made only to create a sense of harmony in the community. Including increasing benefits and reducing those that are not useful.
“This rule was made solely to make our society more harmonious. Increase the benefits and reduce the disadvantages,” he said.
Yaqut judged Toa’s voices in the mosque as a form of syiar. Only, if it is turned on at the same time, there will be interference.
“Because we know, for example, in areas where the majority of Muslims are. Almost every 100-200 meters there are mosques. Imagine if at the same time they lit the Toa together at the top. .
