MEXICO CITY, February 22 (EL UNIVERSAL).- At the start of Matchday 9 of the Expansion League, the Mineros de Zacatecas defeated the Alebrijes de Oaxaca 4-2, a match played at the Carlos Vega Villalba stadium.
Barely in the second minute of play, Sergio Ceballos put the Mineros ahead with a header after a corner kick, the center goes to the small area, Ceballos anticipates the mark to deflect the ball and send it to the back of the net.
The tie came, at minute 14, with a chopped header by Jorge Alberto Sánchez, also from a corner kick, the ball flies at the arrival of Sanchez who sends his chopped shot impossible for the local goalkeeper.
The Alebrijes flipped the scoreboard, at minute 29, Johan Alonzo overflowed through the right meadow, sending a low cross so that Armando González with his right leg deflected the ball and put the visitors ahead.
The pleasure of the visitors did not last long, at minute 34, in another header Mineros equalized for the momentary 2-2, in a free kick Ernesto Alejandro Monreal jumps to deflect the ball that moved the nets so that the fans shouted the goal of the premises.
In the final stretch of the first half, the whistler Gustavo Padilla painted the Alebrijes player, Carlos Eduardo Guerrero, red for a strong foul in midfield.
For the complement, the Miners came out with luck and fortune, while the Alebrijes came out unfocused and would soon be reflected on the scoreboard.
At minute 52, there was an error in the visitors’ exit that was taken advantage of by José Ángel López who in the first instance finished off, but crashed into the crossbar, the rebound fell back to the Mineros player so that with a small jump he commanded the ball to the bottom of the nets.
The deconcentration also took its toll on the local team, the player Jesús Henestrosa earned the second yellow card, at minute 59, matching the field of play with 10 players, everything looked like the Oaxacans would look for another score to equal the score.
But another mistake, this time by goalkeeper Víctor Alcaráz, allowed Mineros to score the fourth and final goal of the night.
After the result, Mineros climbs to the momentary sub-leadership, beating the Alebrijes only by better goal difference, both have 17 units.
