Vocalist, musician and grunge legend Mark Lanegan has died at the age of 57.

He died at his home in Ireland on Tuesday morning.

Throughout his career, Lanegan worked with, among others, Kurt Cobain, Moby and Isobel Campbell.
Lanegan was a vocalist and co-founder of the grunge band Screaming Trees in the mid-90s and a former member of the Queens of the Stone Age. In addition, he was known for his many solo releases.
On Twitter, several music stars are saying goodbye to the grunge legend.
Peter Hook, bassist and co-founder of “Joy Division” and “New Order”, writes that Lanegan was a beautiful man.

Vocalist in the band “Charlatans” writes that it is terrible news.

Vocalist, former Nirvana drummer and founder of Foo Fighters Dave Grohl has described Lanegan’s album “The Winding Sheet” as “one of the best albums of all time”, writes the music website Pitchfork.
Most recently in 2019, Lanegan played at Vulkan Arena in Oslo. The concert, despite his rich career, received lukewarm reviews.
Lanegan leaves behind his wife Shelley.
