A native of Chartres, Arthur Navellou left Eure-et-Loir for Paris at the age of 17.
Musician, singer, actor and poet, part of the music group Catastrophe, he has just published his first collection of poetry entitled I envision the impossible . He presented his first book on Saturday afternoon, at the Esperluète bookstore.
Autobiography
“It is an autobiographical text. This collection is a work of introspection as a young thirty-something. My hometown occupies an important place because many places have remained in my memories and I remain attached to Chartres even if I no longer live there”, he confided.
It was, for example, in Chartres that he learned to be a theater actor, with Antoine Marneur and Emmanuel Ray, whom he has not forgotten. Throughout the pages, Arthur Navellou paints the portrait of several members of his family. He also tells about his adolescence, his dreams, life in Paris, the life of dad…
He was accompanied on Saturday by his publisher, Alexandre Bord, who directs the Iconopop collection at Éditions de L’Iconoclaste: “We want to introduce poetry to a wide audience. It is not reserved for a circle of initiates. Poetry is the urgency of putting simple words to strong emotions, of echoing what others may feel. »
Practice. I envision the impossible by Arthur Navellou, Editions de L’Iconoclaste, 112 pages, €13.
