Evangelista already announced in September that she would file a lawsuit against company Zeltiq, where she received the treatment. She complains that she was not informed about possible side effects that are irreversible in her case. Because the consequences mean a (temporary) end to her modeling career and cause great emotional damage, she is asking for $50 million in damages.
In addition, she now uses her platform to help other people in the same situation because “something that seems too good to be true, often is”.
