According to the strikers, uOnly twenty of the thirty employees in this structure have walked off the job. They denounce thehe reception conditions currently offered by the crèche to 80 children.

We have a recurring heating problem. Some mornings, the temperature in the premises fluctuates between 11 and 15°C. We have regular problems with the washing machine, the oven or the steriliser. Mattresses are defective, torn“, points out one of the employees on condition of anonymity. Before adding: “We don’t feel professional. We feel complicit in this mistreatment. ‘Cause it is, it’s abuse“.

The Roosevelt Nursery is managed by the private group People and Baby, under delegation of public service entrusted by the city of Dijon. Some parents lent their support to the striking staff.

There is a company, the town hall. I don’t know where People and Baby is. What do they do ? It’s just outrageous!“, was indignant this morning a mother in front of the nursery.

For now, People and Baby has not responded to our interview request. The municipality should speak in the afternoon.
