Agnete Husebye responds to the TV criticism:

Agnete Husebye (26), better known under the YouTube alias “Agnetesh” has been in a number of physical reality shows, and is now a participant in “16 Weeks Hell”.

The training program created reactions after the premiere.

Influencer Linnéa Myhre reacted in particular to the participants’ diet, which she referred to as «The recipe for a fucka relationship with food». Something Christer Falck, who is one of the six participants, disagreed with. He replied that his experience was that weight was the part that was least focused on in production.

– Quite one-sided diet plan

Husebye acknowledges that she foresaw that the criticism could come, and that it was anything but comfortable to be weighed and measured in front of the whole of Norway.

– I was very prepared for people to react. Regardless of how the program had been, I think there had been criticism just because it is about improving health or losing weight. Such types of topics are a bit taboo to talk about in public.

– Do you think the criticism is deserved?

Both and. We follow a program that a Swedish NPT has invented. The diet plan is quite one-sided, but I do not think it is clear how we ate.

Believes the presentation is wrong

Husebye elaborates that they could eat much more than what is shown on TV. In the program, viewers get an overview of the celebrities’ daily meals and the times they are to be consumed.

– We eat a lot more than what you see on that list. Vegetables and fruits, we could eat unlimited of. I understand that people criticize what they see, but it was not as bad as it looks, she says.

Disagree with the criticism

The TV company Discovery, which is behind the Norwegian version of the program, disagrees with the participant’s criticism.

– We think the message about eating fruit and vegetables comes out quite well in the series, but the theme does not come up in every episode, says communications consultant Ola-Magnus Svihus.

According to him, Discovery can not go out with the complete meal plan because it violates the so-called format owner’s terms. Svihus states that the participants had a daily intake of between 1600 and 2200 calories, and that the diet could be adapted “to achieve their goals”.

In several episodes, it appears that participants are hungry and struggling to complete training sessions. Christer Falck expresses this in particular, and therefore had his diet plan adjusted by the series’ nutritionist.

– It was important for us to be able to offer good solutions and adaptations to individual needs. Our opinion is that the participants succeeded in finding balance, and that they got a good grip on the scheme as they got started, says Svihus.

Agnete Husebye emphasizes that she is responsible for the participation, which for her was a step towards improved health.

– I felt that way, father, this is one of the healthiest things I can do to myself. I have gained a new spark in life in general, and lots of exercise joy. I have not done any stupid things or tried to fix the look in any way, she states.
