After the Federal Council lifted the certificate requirement last week, leisure facilities such as indoor pools or bowling centers are again accessible to everyone. This is also noticeable, says Aurelio Coduti, co-owner of the Beseco bowling hall near Winterthur: “We were totally surprised by the rush of people. It’s almost like before. People are back, laughing and playing.”
The Aranea+ climbing and badminton center in Schaffhausen also felt the increase in guests. “The first reservations were made immediately after the Federal Council announced the easing of restrictions,” says Managing Director Pascal Parodi. Parodi estimates that around ten to twenty percent more customers have come since the easing. At the Hürlimann Bad und Spa in Zurich, Managing Director Jessica Hilsenbeck is even assuming an increase of twenty to thirty percent. But they were prepared, she explains: “When the Federal Council decided to relax, we immediately increased the number of employees.”
In addition to various leisure activities, nightlife in the region experienced a real upswing on the first weekend after the relaxation of the corona measures.
