Historically, Saturday night during All-Star Weekend often goes into our heads and never comes out again. Either in a very positive way, or… well, or like this night. Three competitions, two and a half that made us pioncer, and luckily a big kitten had things to prove.

  • The new generation Skills Challenge is a concept to be reworked. Teams of 3 is perfect and it adds a bit of storytelling, but then the rules, the cones, the racks, the mills, the referees and absolutely everything lying around on the floor was too much. Too much, too much.
  • We will still have been able to appreciate the vista and the talent of the young guard of the Cavs, at home moreover.
  • Luke Kennard started very strong, Trae Young finished very strong, but Karl-Anthony Towns, he started strong AND he finished very strong.
  • And suddenly his campaign to be considered the best all-time sniper among the big men takes on even more meaning.
  • What about the dunk contest? Honestly? That it was slammed, let’s not be afraid of words. An average plateau, a hundred failed dunks, impossible movies, and a feeling of embarrassment that took hold of us for almost an hour. Please, we hope it was just a nightmare.
