Focus : Welcome Endemic

Signal The end of the Covid-19 pandemic began to be seen when the impact of the Omicron variant was not so fatal and disrupted the activities of residents.

Although the transmission is claimed to be five times faster than the Delta variant, from the available data it is evident that the Omicron variant is not as scary as the Delta variant, which reached its peak in mid-2021.

Signs of easing appear when President Joko Widodo continues to boost the administration of the corona virus vaccine (Covid-19). The government believes that vaccination is one of the keys to reducing the status of the Covid-19 pandemic to endemic.

For the past two years we have experienced a pandemic, the Covid-19 storm has occurred simultaneously everywhere, even throughout the world. Covid is getting scary because the number of people who have died is quite large.

Endemic is a disease that appears and becomes characteristic in certain areas, for example malaria in Papua.

Examples of disease endemic Another example in Indonesia is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This disease will always exist in the area, but with a low frequency or number of cases.

In other words, if Covid has become endemic, there is no need for excessive fear because the frequency is low, just like an ordinary disease, and easy to treat. Of course, we hope that the flow of life, which has been disrupted for two years due to Covid, will gradually recover as before the Covid pandemic.

The good news came from countries in the European region. They started lifting the Covid-19 restrictions when the countries in the Blue Continent experienced an attack by the Omicron variant.
