The format by and with star chef Tim Mälzer is first-class production, the cooking duels always entertaining. However, the three-hour episodes could be a bit crisper.

In man on Fire (2004) Denzel Washington as a bodyguard must rescue a little girl (Dakota Fanning) from the clutches of Mexican kidnappers. The film by star director Tony Scott (“Top Gun”, “Days of Thunder”) offers solid, entertaining TV entertainment with all kinds of spectacular action sequences.

Don’t!
I don’t really know anything about horror films, but last Halloween I gave the two remakes of Stephen King’s horror classic It’s (2017, 2019) nevertheless a chance without prejudice. After all, the reviews for the strip with the cult clown “Pennywise” were consistently positive. My conclusion, however, is: Frighteningly weak!

Ben Stiller directs this eerily beautiful notion of perfect work-life balance in Severance (2022). With dark humor and a top-class cast (Adam Scott, Christopher Walken), the sci-fi series could become one of the surprise hits of the year.
