After storms Dudley and Eunice, KNMI again warns today for heavy to very heavy wind gusts. The weather institute has issued a code yellow. The wind will increase during the day.
Strong wind gusts of 75 to 90 kilometers per hour are expected throughout the country from the beginning of the evening, in coastal areas possibly up to 100 kilometers per hour. The peak is reached later in the evening with very strong gusts of wind from 100 kilometers inland and possibly 110 to 120 kilometers per hour in the coastal areas, often accompanied by heavy showers.
Locally, the wind can cause further damage, according to the KNMI. For the time being, code yellow therefore applies to the whole of the Netherlands. Depending on the latest forecasts, this may be further regionally scaled up to code orange later today.
There is also a chance of heavy wind gusts on Monday, from about 75 to 80 kilometers per hour inland and 90 kilometers per hour along the coast.
