JAKARTA– Senior actress Yati Surachman recently talked about his spiritual journey. He said he chose to convert from Islam to Christianity at the age of 12.
Yati Surachman reveals the reason for being called to be a Christian for a simple reason. He admitted that he wanted to convert when he saw a Christmas tree at his neighbor’s house.
“At that time, I felt the Christmas tree was very beautiful. I feel calm when I see the tree. Very simple. I also didn’t know the call at that time,” said Yati Surachman, quoted from the Miracle of Life YouTube channel, Sunday (20/2/2022).
When he embraced Christianity, Yati Surachman also wavered. The reason is that the film star of the Village Virgin had khatam the Koran.
“Before, I finished the Koran, there was no Indonesian meaning. So I doubted it again,” he said.
