The Welcome Home Acapulco Exhibition World Pádel Tour opened the doors to celebrities to take a ‘cascarita’ on the same field where the stars of this discipline will seek to consecrate themselves with the title of champion.
The actress and ‘queen of Tik Tok’ accompanied her friends and colleagues, actors Sergio Mayer and Alejandro Ávila, who received a clinic in which they were taught the basics of this sporte, from the way of holding the racket, how to hit at the time of the serve and how to move within the rectangle to receive and hit the ball.
After these classes, Mayer and Ávila had some challenges with some coaches who were present. The winner of the challenges was the former deputy Sergio Mayer, who teamed up with the professional padel player, Francisco ‘Zurdo’ Acevedo.
At the end of this moment of relaxation, former deputy Sergio Mayer said he was happy and satisfied to be present at the WPT and share the field with ‘Zurdo’.
“I felt incredible, it is the first time we have taken a technique class and I thank the WPT organizers for giving us this clinic and the chance to play with ‘Lefty’, who had the humility to get on the field with us. On the other hand, Mayer was against Conade cutting scholarships to athletes, who in many times they have had to invest from their own bag to compete and acquire their clothing.
“Meritocracy is important since the one with the best results has the best scholarships, but you have to go up and not down, you must have a standard scholarship to motivate them and from there grow. Scholarships are needed to acquire their things, to have a good diet and first-class training, and whoever exceeds their achievements that scholarships be improved.
