For the first time, the public can pass an Oscar. With the hashtag #OscarsFanFavorite, Twitter users can vote for a film for the first time this year. But even those who don’t like to tweet digitally can cast their vote. Voting is open until March 3 via the website for the “Fan Favorite” category.

The film with the most votes will receive the “Fan Favorite” award during the Oscars, which will take place on March 27th in Los Angeles.

Through this.” Activations, social media users around the world now have more opportunities to engage with the show in real-time, find a community, and be a part of the experience in ways they couldn’t before.” says Meryl Johnson, the Academy Awards’ marketing director.
