Brief escape from police; Two scooter thefts solved

On Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, at 1:40 p.m., an alert citizen reported a scooter that was supposed to be driving around in the area of the former sports field in March-Buchheim. On the way, the officers from the March police station came across a corresponding vehicle on Sportplatzstraße .When recognizing the patrol car, the driver turned and fled along a footpath in the direction of Hugstetten. The scooter driver then turned over a footbridge and fled in the direction of Benzhausen, which enabled him to evade control. The number plate read showed that the scooter had recently been stolen in Freiburg.
Shortly thereafter, the officials on Sportplatzstraße in Buchheim noticed a youth pushing a red scooter without a license plate.
