The partnership between Ducati and Poltrona Frau leads to the birth of a fascinating project, the launch of the brand new Ducati XDiavel Black, presented in official preview a few minutes ago, with the seventh episode of the Ducati World Première web series, which we follow interested in the first appointment.
A series signed by the Borgo Panigale company, through which launched all of its new creatures in 2021. The project XDiavel Black it comes to life from the values shared by the two companies: passion for design, craftsmanship tradition, use of cutting-edge technologies and aptitude for innovation. The result is a motorcycle that is unique in character and aesthetics, which communicates Italian design and will be produced in numbered edition limited to 500 copies.
The XDiavel project

The aesthetic characteristics
The new XDiavel Black features the “Black on Black” livery (we saw “Black and Steel” last year) in which glossy and matte black portions alternate, which makes the bike even sportier and is also taken up in a dedicated jet helmet, which owners of Black XDiavel can order together with the bike. The XDiavel Nera is also enriched by some style details capable of enhancing the aesthetics, such as the brake calipers and engine head covers in Ducati Red color and the lightened and fully machined forged rims, painted in glossy black.

The most recognizable part of the Black XDiavel is therea special saddle made of Pelle Frau leather: a soft natural leather saddled by hand, the result of years of research by Poltrona Frau. The saddle is available in five different colors (Siam Red, Steel Blue, Cement, India and Selva) and is customized with a series of “X” engraved through a sophisticated laser process, which recall the name of the bike.
The engine
XDiavel is equipped with the engine Testastretta DVT 1262 which, in combination with the final belt drive, ensures smooth delivery at low revs and a full curve up to the highest revs. The bike benefits from one power maximum of 160 HP at 9,500 rpm and a torque of 13.0 kgm at 5,000 rpm. The Black XDiavel can already be ordered with the saddle in the preferred color and will be available in dealerships in the Ducati network starting next March.
