Scorer of 10 goals in 29 games this season, Rafael Leão, 22, has become a priority at Milan. It has a contract until 2024 and the rossoneri want to hold the Portuguese international at all costs.
Indeed, and according to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan officials are preparing to present the player, through businessman Jorge Mendes, with a proposal to renew a contract that includes triple the salary that Rafael Leão currently receives.
In his third season at the club, Rafael Leão receives, always according to the aforementioned source, half a million euros annually, thus being able to increase to four million euros.
The Italian newspaper also points out that there may be obstacles to contract renewal: on the one hand, the dispute that the player has with Sporting (he was ordered to pay 16 million euros for illegally terminating his contract in August 2018); on the other hand, the interest of several clubs, namely Atlético Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
