–
13.45 – Ivan Juric is expected in the conference room.
–
14.00 – Juric has arrived, soon the start of the questions.
–
How did the week go? How do you arrive at this derby from a physical and emotional point of view?
–
“The team trained well, concentrated. We want to play a great match. We set it up with the right charge, without going any further. The guys are aware of what this race means“.
–
Was there a drop in concentration after the break?
–
“Before the break we played great games, the last two were “average”, they were a draw and it went badly. They certainly weren’t at the level of the previous ones. But they were different games. Venezia changed after half an hour, Udinese managed to keep the ball forward by focusing on physical duels. Especially against Venezia the team played a fair game, not a beautiful one, but a fair one, and it went badly”.
–
Often with the big players, Taurus has lost by playing well. How important can it be tomorrow, to bring home something while not playing well?
–
“I have regret for the matches against Sassuolo and Lazio… Those in which we played well and did not win. For the rest, the idea is always to win but by playing well, not playing less well. Then there are also games in which you are not brilliant and then, for example, you have to hold on, don’t concede a goal at the end, don’t take two shots and two goals. We have to aim for a great game, then if things don’t turn out well, we still need to be tough physically and mentally.”.
–
What do you perceive around the team? Has the enthusiasm waned after the last few games?
–
“In football it’s always a bit over the top, but it’s also great for that. It is clear that in the last two games we have not played great games. After Sassuolo I also had some kind of sensations, but the team played less well in subsequent games. It must be accepted. It is necessary to analyze the work match by match less, but every six months, to have a more global vision. However, this is a moment in which we must give a positive signal, not to regain enthusiasm because we have it, but for ourselves. So aim for a great match”.
