Spotify continues to invest in the podcast section of its offering.
Two companies have now been taken over for this: Chartable and Podsights. The latter service offers tools for podcast promotion, the former is a podcast analytics company.
Spotify integrates two services
Both companies’ offers will be integrated into Spotify in the future. Above all, Spotify wants to offer the advertising functions of Podsights and expand them to music and visual advertising.
Implementation still unclear
How exactly this will happen cannot of course be said at the moment. In the corresponding press release, Spotify only provides information about the two acquired companies (translation of the editor):
Podsights is a leading podcast advertising measurement service that helps advertisers better measure and scale their podcast advertising. Chartable is a podcast analytics platform that enables publishers to know and grow their podcast audiences through ad attribution and audience insight tools.
Spotify regularly acquires companies in the podcast sector. In 2019, the acquisition of Anchor caused a particularly big stir.
