On Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. in Neuenbürg, the fistball players of FG Griesheim are all about promotion to the 1st Bundesliga South. Four teams compete against each other and determine the two climbers.
The host is TV Waldrennach, who is also the top favorite in this final round. The champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South only had to put up with one defeat this season and, thanks to their wealth of experience, can hope for promotion for the season. NLV Stuttgart-Vaihingen was able to qualify as runners-up in the 2nd Bundesliga South. The team went through all youth classes together and is therefore perfectly coordinated. Setter Robin Löwe is a U21 national player who wants to get the young team involved. Coach Christian Löwe, assistant coach of the national team, will throw his experience into the ring to prepare the squad for everything.
TSV Karlsdorf, who want to realize their dream of promotion to the top division this year, became champions of the 2nd Bundesliga West. Experienced Florian Riffel in attack and Marius Riffel, who has experience in the first division, will motivate their team to perform at their best in order to make it into the top flight.

Despite Sven Muckle and Michael Haas, who have years of experience in the first division with FBC Offenburg, FG Griesheim are outsiders in the promotion race. On the last day of the game, they were surprisingly runners-up and thus faced the greatest success in the club’s history. Marco Dobler can draw on plenty and hopes for the Griesheimer battle loafers. 50 guest fans per team are allowed on the host side.
“Other people are favorites that day, but when we find our top form, we don’t have to hide from anyone. Anything is possible on a day like this, and if not, we old men will just stay in the 2nd league,” says second board member Thomas Fischer with a wink, looking forward to the weekend.
