Cyberpunk 2077 News Broadcast Coming Tomorrow

CD Projekt Red has announced the broadcast of Cyberpunk 2077, which will air tomorrow, February 15.

Airing at 7am Pacific/10am ET/3pm UK (ie February 16 at 2am game time.

This stream is also tagged as REDstream, rather than the Night City Wire streams we’ve seen about the launch of Cyberpunk, which may indicate we’ll be getting news about other CDPR projects. This could include a next-gen release of The Witcher 3 (currently scheduled for Q2 2022) or the new single-player game Gwent.

CDPR has been promising next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 since before the release, originally scheduled for the second half of last year. However, the delay has pushed them to the first quarter of 2022, which means the launch should come before the end of March. Recently, the original PS5 version of the game was spotted on the PlayStation Network backend, adding more fuel to the version’s release in the near future.

There’s a chance we’ll also hear about the game’s first paid DLC expansion. CDPR previously promised expansions the size of the two released builds for The Witcher 3, and last year revealed that the core Cyberpunk team had shrunk, with more developers available to work on the expansion.

There’s also an outside opportunity for news about a previously promised Cyberpunk online component, though CDPR has previously said it has “reconsidered” the Cyberpunk multiplayer project. It’s still unclear if this was delayed, cancelled, or turned into something else.
