Plowing contract for NOK 350 million put out to tender

The operating contract that has been put out for consultation extends over five years and applies to national roads in eleven municipalities.

Who will be responsible for plowing on the national roads in Stavanger, Randaberg, Sandnes, Sola, Gjesdal, Bjerkreim, Eigersund, Lund, Flekkefjord, Strand and Hjelmeland? The deadline for submitting bids is 31 March.

The operating contract is valid for the period 2022 to 2027, and the estimated total value is NOK 350 million.

In the first season, the contract consists of 311 kilometers of national road, of which 74 kilometers are pedestrian and bicycle paths. From the autumn of 2023, the road network will increase to a total of 450 kilometers of road, of which 100 kilometers are pedestrian and bicycle paths.

Year-round traffic is at most 60,000, and an annual traffic growth of around two percent is expected.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration will hold a tender conference on 11 March.
