Most corona measures will be lifted as of February 25, i.e. next Friday. The cabinet will almost certainly announce this during a press conference on Tuesday, NOS reports. Only a number of basic advice, such as no shaking hands, hygiene, ventilation and testing in case of complaints, will be maintained.
Mouth caps no longer have to be worn from the end of next week and there is no longer a need to keep one and a half meters away. The advice to work from home as much as possible is cancelled.
In the cultural sector and the catering industry, the normal situation will return earlier than expected. Businesses in these sectors now have to close at ten o’clock in the evening. From next Friday, that will go to one o’clock in the morning. A week later, the general closing times, which applied before corona, are back in force.
From 25 February, 1-G will apply to festivals and events where many people are present, i.e. they are accessible with a negative test.
The much criticized corona admission ticket (ctb) disappears in the refrigerator and will only be taken out of storage if a situation arises in which it really has added value. However, it is possible that the CTB is still necessary to travel abroad, because other countries make this a condition.
Incidentally, the Outbreak Management Team (OM) agrees with the relaxation that the cabinet announced last weekend. This includes the new closing time for the catering industry (01.00 a.m.) and someone who is infected with the virus does not have to stay home for seven, but five days, “provided this person is free of complaints for at least 24 hours.”
