Nokia G21 and G11 official: affordable and Android 11
Nokia has presented two aircraft in the G-line. The affordable smartphone has to have good battery life and the update policy. What is striking about the latter is that Nokia chooses to still use both devices Android 11 to deliver.
This while Android 12 been rolled out for a while and Nokia always pretends to be one of the best in the update field. However, we only see two major Android updates and three years of security patches. This means that the devices only have Android 12 and Android 13 to get. The company also says that the devices have a battery life of up to three days.
Nokia G21: large battery, suggested retail price of 199 euros
That long battery life is partly due to the battery of 5050 mAh and not too powerful and energy-guzzling hardware. The processor comes from manufacturer Unisoc and is powerful enough for social media or a simple game, but not for heavy apps. The battery can be charged with the included 18 Watt charger.
The screen is 6.5 inches and has a 720p resolution. You can take photos with the three cameras on the back or the single front camera. The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels. There are also two cameras of 2 megapixels each. It concerns a macro lens for photos up close and a depth sensor, which you use for portrait photography.
There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. This can also be expanded with a micro-SD memory card and there is room for two SIM cards. A physical fingerprint scanner is incorporated into the physical power button on the right. It is also possible to use facial recognition, even while wearing a mouth mask. Finally, a headphone jack is still on board, something that we see less and less.
