Berlin. The actor and author Kai Wiesinger does not believe in a permanent presence on Instagram, Facebook and Co. He told the German Press Agency in Berlin. For the 55-year-old, this contradicts what he wants to convey to the viewer as an actor. “I want the viewer to think that they are watching a person by chance and not that someone is doing their job as an actor and then eating a currywurst,” explained the television star, who lives in Potsdam.
Rather, one should be able to immerse oneself in the story while watching – without being distracted, said Wiesinger. “That’s why I think the permanent presence of actors in social networks is also a disaster for the perception of the films. In the end, an illusion is destroyed when I keep photographing myself with my dog in the kitchen. I find that unattractive.”
The new crime series “Dr. Hoffmann” with Kai Wiesinger in the leading role starts next Thursday at prime time on the first.
