GOYA AWARDS
Valencia (Spain), Feb 12 (EFE).- Joaquín Sabina chose the song “So young and so old” to reappear on stage after two years, at the Goya gala held in the Spanish city of Valencia, where he offered an acoustic version of this song, together with Leiva.
On the same day as her 73rd birthday and just two years after her last public performance, Sabina, who wore a black striped suit and hat, was at the Spanish film awards ceremony for the first time.
Along with Leiva, who won the Goya for Best Original Song in 2018 for “La Llamada” and who tonight has accompanied him on guitar, Sabina offered a version of the song “Tan Joven y Tan Viejo”, which received numerous applause from the public.
After the performance, the artist only said “Long live Spanish cinema”, before leaving the stage.
This is Joaquín Sabina’s first performance since the concert on February 12, 2020 in Madrid, where he fell into the pit and had to be hospitalized.
