Bayern Munich’s dress rehearsal for the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League on Wednesday in Salzburg went horribly wrong. Despite a quick lead (9th) by the Polish star striker Robert Lewandowski, the German record champions conceded a painful defeat against a strong Bochum team on the 22nd Bundesliga matchday. Antwi-Adjej (14′), Jürgen Locadia with a penalty (38′), Cristian Gamboa (40′) and Gerrit Holtmann (44′) gave VfL Bochum a 4-1 lead before the break. Lewandowski once again created excitement with a volley worth seeing in the 75th minute. It was the 26th goal of the season in 22 games. In the 86th minute, the Pole hit the crossbar with a free kick.
