President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed de-escalation and financial assistance to Ukraine during a telephone conversation. About this head of state informed в Twitter.
“I had an important conversation with my friend Justin Trudeau about our allies’ diplomatic efforts to de-escalate,” he wrote on social media.
Zelensky also welcomed Canada’s decision to provide a significant financial package to strengthen Ukraine.
“Another powerful signal that Ukraine and Canada are together,” Zelensky added.
Recall that on Saturday, February 12, Zelensky held telephone conversation with the President of France Emmanuel Macron. They discussed the security situation in Ukraine, as well as ways to intensify the peace process within the framework of the Normandy format and negotiations of the Trilateral Contact Group.
And on the eve of Zelensky discussed Donbass with OSCE Head Zbigniew Rau. The President expects the intensification of the work of the TCG and the full implementation of the mandate of the OSCE SMM in Donbas.
