Another 23,233 people were confirmed infected with the coronavir virus in Lithuania last day, and 20 deaths caused by Covid-19 were registered, the Department of Statistics announced on Saturday.
Of the new infections, 9531 were first-time infections, 1693 were second-time infections and nine were third-time infections.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 807,861 infections have been detected in Lithuania.
A total of 8,090 people have died in Lithuania with Covid-19.
There are currently 1,656 Covid-19 patients in hospitals, 97 of whom are receiving intensive care.
According to the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population in Lithuania has decreased to 5,135.6.
A total of 1,944,741 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 965,424 primary vaccination courses. 901,311 people received booster vaccinations.
In Estonia, an additional 5,798 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus during the day, as well as five deaths caused by Covid-19, the Health Department said on Saturday.
10,041 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 58%.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,965,884 analyzes and 415,994 cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Estonia.
A total of 2,106 people died in Estonia with Covid-19.
448 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, 277 of whom are severely ill.
The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, has dropped to 6,725.18.
A total of 855,995 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 834,251 primary vaccination courses. 419,282 people were vaccinated.
