Romelu Lukaku has again caused unrest at Chelsea with a cryptic message on Snapchat.
“If you have to force it, then it probably doesn’t fit,” the Belgian wrote on his account on Friday. Now there is speculation that the 28-year-old could have repeatedly drawn attention to his dissatisfaction at the club.
Earlier this year, Lukaku had criticized his role under blues coach Thomas Tuchel and his general situation.
A little later, however, he apologized for his statements after he had been removed from the squad in the meantime. “To the fans, I’m sorry for the uproar I caused,” he said in a video on the club’s official website.
Lukaku is currently with Chelsea at the Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. On Wednesday he had promoted the reigning Champions League winner to the final with his goal to make it 1-0. There, Tuchel’s team meets the Brazilian Copa Libertadores winner SE Palmeiras from Sao Paulo.
Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan for 115 million euros in the summer. He left Chelsea for Everton in 2014.
