The violin part is fully integrated into the symphonic soundtrack here. is a tandem, a constant dialogue, in harmony with the orchestra’s musicians, something very close to chamber music. “
Johannes Brahms wrote his only violin concerto, which includes episodes full of passion, peace and quiet, in close collaboration with a friend, one of the brightest violinists of the 19th century, Joseph Joakim, who called the piece “one of the four great German violins”. “, alongside the masterpieces of Ludwig van Beethoven, Max Bruhr and Felix Mendelssohn.
