BPJS of Employment speak up about old age insurance (JHT) can only be taken when the participant is 56 years old. This provision is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 2 of 2022 concerning Procedures and Requirements for Payment of Old Age Security Benefits.
Temporary Substitute Acting Deputy Director for Public Relations and Inter-Agency BPJS Employment Dian Agung Senoaji emphasized that participants can still withdraw some of the old age guarantee funds (JHT) even though they are not yet 56 years old.
The disbursement in question is 30 percent for home ownership or 10 percent for other purposes with a minimum membership requirement of 10 years.
“Meanwhile, the full disbursement of JHT funds can only be done when the participant reaches the age of 56, experiences permanent total disability, or dies,” he told CNNIndonesia.comFriday (11/2).
In addition, he also said participants of the JHT program could take advantage of the Additional Service Benefit (MLT) facilities in the form of low interest rates for Housing Advance Loans (PUMP) of a maximum of Rp. a maximum of Rp. 200 million.
Not only that, even participants can do take over KPR from general/commercial scheme to MLT scheme.
Furthermore, Dian ensured that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as the organizing body (operator) was ready to organize the JHT program in accordance with applicable regulations.
For information, Permenaker Number 2 of 2022 revoked Permenaker Number 19 of 2019. Under the old rules, JHT benefits could be given to participants who resigned and paid in cash after passing the waiting period of 1 month.
“Provision of JHT benefits for participants who resign as referred to in Article 3 paragraph (3) letter a can be paid in cash and at the same time after passing the waiting period of 1 (one) month as of the date the certificate of resignation from the company is issued,” wrote Article 5 (1) Permenaker 19/2015.
