A total of 35 people who are members of the Victim Community Insurance unitlink do peaceful action in front of Monas, Jakarta, asking for help from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Friday (11/2) morning. The action is planned to last until the afternoon at 17.00 WIB today.
Maria Trihartati, Coordinator of Unitlink Insurance Victims, said that her party wanted to voice justice and asked Jokowi for attention and support so that unitlink insurance victims from Prudential, AIA, and AXA Mandiri companies could get a full refund.
“Our request is simple. We just want the funds that have been saved for years to be returned in full (full refund). At times like this, the savings funds become useful for all of us,” he said in a release, Friday (11/11). /2).
Maria said the efforts to seek justice had been tireless. In addition to urging the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to provide support, Maria admitted that her party had also submitted a complaint report to the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Indonesian Ombudsman, to the National Police Headquarters.
“This time, we really hope that Mr. President Jokowi, whom we love so much, hopefully can hear the complaints of thousands of victims of this unitlink insurance,” he added, who came all the way from Lampung.
In the action, Maria said that her party would still insist on the accountability of the three insurance companies to return the customer’s funds in full (full refund).
Furthermore, the community also asked the government to immediately take a policy to stop selling unitlink products.
“We do this peaceful action as a form of our love so that no more victims will be deceived by the sweet promises of unitlink products,” said Maria.
